She's always landed on the shy side. Never caring to draw attention to herself. When she was telling me about the second graders performing at the PTA meeting this week and how she was excited about being on the stage and singing, I was a bit surprised.
When she told me that she wanted to wear her pajamas to school yesterday for their Polar Express party, I was more than a bit surprised.
When I learned today that she received the Principal's Award for showing self control, I was not a bit surprised. I couldn't be more proud of her.

Sounds like you have a lot to be proud of. She is beautiful!
What a gorgeous picture of that girl!!! love the sunlight lighting up her background. Good job for her on the prinicipal's award. At that age kid's can definitely lack self-control.
What a picture, she really is a beautiful girl. And she most certainly is all that you described about her!
Love, Grandma
Abby,
I love you so much beautiful girl! Great job on the self control award, I will say that I'm not one bit surprised either. You are such a kind, sweet, caring young woman and Kylie thinks the world of you (as do Ian, Caleb, and I!)
Can't wait to see you sometime over Christmas!
Love,
Kristi
Man, I love this PICTURE! Awesome photography, and a great capture, as always! Congrats to your Abby, too! One of these days, I'll get to meet you all!
