I Should Be Doing Things More Productive

Moving On

Thursday night Andrew had his preschool graduation ceremony. I've been asked if I cried, but honestly, it's hard to cry when Andrew is around. He's so excited to be heading to Kindergarten this fall. Heated discussions have begun about who gets to walk him to his class on the first day of school, and I have not been involved in those discussions. I believe he'll have plenty of help getting to class without me. It's nice to know that his siblings are watching out for him.

Fun in the Sun Day

Today was Fun in the Sun Day for the first graders. Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot of sun. Historically, it has been very hot around this time of year and the teachers actually had some things planned for the kids inside today so they could cool off. It really wasn't necessary. Yesterday at this time it was almost 90 degrees and today it's 72.

Ahhh, Summer!

Earlier this week we met some friends in Harrisburg for a carnival of sorts. Honestly, I don't have any idea what the celebration was about. It was not well attended which was bad for the sponsors but GREAT for us! They had some games for the kids, a train to ride, one of those bouncy things and FREE ice cream.

This Abigail is one of Andrew's friends from school. She also has a brother named Andrew who, thankfully, is called Andy. That could get really confusing--two Abigails and two Andrews...!

Free Time for Me

Last night was relatively calm at our house. The kids wanted to know if they could just have sandwiches for dinner. Um, sure! That left me with time to sit on the patio and watch the hummingbirds.

Can We Fix It?

Yesterday afternoon I caught the boys "fixing" their bikes. Don't worry Grandpa, no bikes were actually harmed by the use of these tools and to my knowledge all of the tools made it back to the toolbox.
