Andrew: Mommy, Miss Karen looked really pretty today.
Me: Really? Why was she so pretty today?
Andrew: Well, she was pretty when she took her top off.
Maybe I should spend some time at the school...
And at the dinner table Abby was discussing her friend "V".
Andrew: Oh yeah, I know her.
Abby: Really? What color is she?
Andrew: I don't know.
Abby: Then you don't know her. She's brown. What about "B"? Do you know her? What color is she?
Andrew: I don't know.
Abby: She's [points to her cheek], with a little bit of brown.
Less movies and more conversation. I like hearing the things they think about.

I'd love to hear the full story behind Miss Karen's top!
Love Abby's description of her friends ~ if only adults were also so non-concerned with race and saw skin tones as just a description...
Where was Adam? Cause I'm sure he would bring some fun random conversations to the table too!
Being color-blind is a good thing.
I like hearing what is on their minds. Children never cease to amaze me and teach me.
Love, Aunt Saundra
