Instead, she did it when she was 6 years and 364 days.
A Little Wobbly At First
Yep, today she agreed to take the training wheels off her bike. We were all so proud of her, and more importantly she was proud of herself. She started out on her brother's bike ~ the brother who took his training wheels off when he was four.
The boys really encouraged Abby, and Andrew was very patient while she practiced on his bike and decided whether or not she wanted the training wheels taken off of her bike. It didn't take her long to get the hang of it and she rode her bike on and off all day today.
Just Because I Like Her Curly Pony Tail
After conquering the bike, she said all she needs is a two wheel scooter (she currently has a three wheel scooter).
Stay tuned for an update on her birthday celebration.

Congratulations, Abby!
And good job with the helmets, mom!
Nice build-up with the photos. until I read what was going on, I had no idea what it was about.
Good job to your daughter.
Way to go Abigail! I still remember THE day that I figured out how to ride my bike in circles through the yard beside the garden.
