I love the way Andrew has his arm around her and how his little gloved fingers are showing. Several of the kids wore bike helmets for protection.
It took a while for Andrew to decide that I was safe enough to skate with--for a while he would only skate with the parents of the birthday girl. He informed me that I didn't skate "all that great." Adam was behind the camera before he decide that skating looked pretty fun.
Once he hit the ice, he did a great job, and I think he had a lot of fun. He did fall on his last time around and hurt his knee a little bit. Thankfully there was a doctor in the group and he was checked out on the spot. [Notice Andrew's reflection in the glass behind Adam.]
Not surprisingly, Andrew ended the day running and going around the rink on his own racing his friends.
Abby never did put on skates. She said it was too cold in there and preferred to stay off the ice.

Fun pictures of your skaters! Andrew's reflection in the one is perhaps the best part...
Andrew is going to be a "lady killer" someday ,as if he isn't already! Does look like they had fun. Love,Grandma
